TiG is open to all SpRs/STs in Gastroenterology, and research fellows, and membership is automatic.

Details of new trainees are regularly received from the British Society of Gastroenterology, and once on the TiG database trainees will start to receive mailings. These will include invitations to meetings and the newsletter.

For those new trainees, we have pulled together some useful information to guide you round the requirements of your specialty, and this page will be added to/updated over time.

TiG has two major meetings a year that cover management issues and other topics that are often not provided by regional training programmes. These are endorsed by the British Society of Gastroenterology.

TiG committee members sit on various BSG committees and also on the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and SAC Gastroenterology.

These committees provide useful information on training and professional matters, and Reports are regularly updated.

Our sponsors are Warner Chilcott Pharmaceuticals UK Ltd.(formerly P & G Pharmaceuticals). Their funding enables our members to join in our activities and it also supports the newsletter which we circulate twice a year.

Acting Chairman
